my hands are so dry
It's been
yet another dye weekend. this time, I added a foil pan on top of the stove in addition to the trusty crockpot... my stove just doesn't have a good low setting, so I had to turn it off and on again and again each time it started to simmer. Grrr. Also, the dye was not exhausting, so it was there for hours... and more hours! I finally took it out and stuck it in the crockpot overnight. then rinsing and rinsing and squeezing water out and washing. my hands are chapped! I need to slather up. So- tons of color! need to reskein! and label!
I'm starting to panic about bazaar bizarre. I have several suitcases worth of wool and hats and bags and there are just two of us to carry all this! how will we haul it all up there? just the handspun takes up a couple of boxes. There is tons more handpainted! Agh!! maybe we should have driven?
I'm also making tons of little goodies for the show- sachets and cat toys. many many things to stuff and sew up!
