  bazarre bizarre
great times! so many craftsters! rundown of the weekend coming soon!

so- Friday we wake up to a non snow day. Went to bed to no snow, and woke up to blue skies. And 2 hours delay at work. I manage to come in 2.5 hours late to work. drats. I check and double check the airport website all day, seeing how there is some sort of thundersnow in boston. Eek! we leave work early friday to get to BWI... only to find our flight delayed to near midnight. Uhh? no thank you! The nice people at AirTran were good about rebooking us for the next morning, at least. Was way better to sleep in my own bed rather than the airport, and I bet k8 and her guy were glad to not come to the airport at 1 am!

We do some non-xmas shopping and eating and go home... come back the next day and are on our merry way. We braved the super cheap T system (really, $1.50?!?! to go anywhere?!?) and meet friends for lunch and check out their new place and crazy dog. their crazy 50 pound lap dog! ruff! Then we found k8 and tim and ate some yummy cambodian food and some even yummier ice cream. Then did some last minute skeining and packing.

Sunday was nice and leisurely- sure is great when craft fairs start at 1 PM! no leaving the house at 7 am! We got there around 10:30, and took our time setting up. Had some Dunkin Donuts coffee. (I love the donuts, but the coffee? not strong enough for the cold boston weather! why does everyone there drink it?!) We had sooooo much yarn. It filled our big ikea rack and then some!

1 pm rolls around, and there's a line out the door! I guess they aren't allowed to have so many people in there for the fire code, but there was plenty of space.. and plenty of crowds! We were mobbed for the first couple hours I think. And we were just in the door (but thankfully FAR from the loud music and occasional theremin noise that just didn't agree with my ears even if it was kinda neat!) so everyone came with $20 bills. we ran out of change again and again! kind of embarassing, but I think it was ok in the end. we knocked a few bucks off here and there, but survived!

Here we are at the beginning.. look how much yarn we made!!

This is how many people there were! MADNESS!! 3500 in all I think!

And at the end. CLEANED OUT!

Haha.. notice that Kate is STILL KNITTING HATS.. can't stop knitting! at least boston is cold enough to wear hats, eh?

All in all, it was a fun weekend. Boston is always a fun place to be! And, cold as it is, seems like a good place to live! Lots of cool knitters about!
