howdy. I've been a bit out of the loop... getting ready for BIG CRAFT FAIR Sunday (btw- if you're in Boston, please stop by and say hi!!!) and wedding planning and work trips. I was lucky enough to HAVE to attend a review in Boulder last week... I'm always amazed at how pretty Colorado is. This is going from Denver to Boulder.
We had most of the first afternoon and all evening free (hehe... unlike colleagues who took a LATE flight that was DELAYED by apparent TORNADO WARNINGS in the DC area!!) so we wandered around downtown Boulder. Tons of fun shops and restaurants, and some great brew pubs. And a whole bunch of people not from Boulder! We met a few DC people, actually... which is wierd since noone is from DC either (except me!) Where do DCers go?! Anyhow, downtown Boulder? Nice! they have 5 or 6 blocks of a street set up as a fussgangerzone, and have a lot of stuff in between the sidewalks. lots of sculptures, rock gardens, etc.
We stayed at a hotel that smelled funny. But it had nice comforters. fake quilts! cute. not so cute when the AWFUL COLD I was trying to avoid since the sunday before hit me HARD after a long night of drinking (yay for a couple of coworkers that were my age, or acted my age!) sore throat stuffy head can't breath... wah.
