  T minus two days...
And there is still SO MUCH to be done! Eep! Boo. And for whatever reason, I refuse to sew bags together, instead knitting even more potholders. And there's a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms saturday! not good! Rain I can handle, but storms? Hmmm.

Anyhow, there's a preview of things to buy up on the website.. go look. I'm adding more pictures each chance I get, so keep checking in! And stop by on saturday! There's something there for everyone!! I promise! If you (or even someone you know) have a cat, have a head, cook, knit, need a bag, drink wine, there's definitely something. And they'll all make lovely christmas gifts!

Once again, on the Metro Green line, at the Columbia Heights Station. Saturday, 10 AM- 5 PM. crafty bastards.

  knitting in boston
or, on the plane to new hampshire.. finished another two hats, and much of another potholder (#5!!) Slowly making a dent in the yarn I brought! So if I happen to come home with more, might not be bad?

In the meantime, we've driven many laps around boston/cambridge.. not the funnest place to drive! and cuts into knitting time...

  sheepies!

got no knitting done this weekend, aside from a few rows (and a load of felting) at kates. spent yesterrday sleeping, kicking my boyfriend's printer, and making labels.

Didn't make it to the national knit-out thingamajig on the mall... I wanted to go, but with being sick, having tons of stuff for the craft fair to finish, and spaghetti sauce to make, I couldn't brave the blusteryness.

Actually, the thought of zillions of knitters all in one spot kind of intimidates me! That and the whole "knitting is hip" crap... or the whole knitting as being (anti?)feminist? I dunno.. I don't knit because it's cool or hip or womanly.. I just like making things. things that generally have no use. even with the best intentions, I don't usually wear things I knit. maybe other people have worn hats and things I've given them. I don't. I wear the same hat I've worn for the past several years, the hat my friend joel crocheted for me in germany. (does a guy crocheting make him feminist?) or my polarfleece hat. I hope people have liked the bags I've knit! But sweaters I've made? they look fine, really.. I just don't wear em. Hm. I thought for a while that if I did a knitalong or something with other people, maybe I'd finish a sweater (and wear it!). but the whole having to do what other people are doing sorta gets to me a little. sure, some of the sweaters are nice, and look fun to make, and maybe someday I will make them. And it must be good to have people there to discuss problems in making sweaters or whatnot. but I tend to like doing stuff on my own more. Figuring it out for myself. And take ages to finish sweaters, not because of a lack of knitting time, but because other, more interesting projects come up or it gets too warm out to think of sweaters. When it comes down to it, I'm quite glad that others knit, and glad that there are people/groups/shops out there to go to when I'm feeling social. Or need new pretty yarn. it just freaks me out that so many people do it! I guess that's why spinning is cool? :)

  we're some crafty bastards!
So I sent in the contract for the Crafty Bastards Arts and Crafts Fair. Should be getting a package of goodies sometime soon!

In celebration I've finished another wine tote. They go quick! :)

This is bag number 9 knit in the past month! My goal is at least ten, so almost there. Many of them need some embellishing, as well as, um, sewing together... that's seriously the hardest part for me.

Now- back to hats!

playing around with fiber- knitting and spinning and dyeing. with a bit of running thrown in. and now home hunting.
