I am running around in circles!
Ok- I *think* I fixed the latest catalog problem- overcharging of shipping from Paypal. Hopefully I won't have to refund stuff any more. *sigh*..
10 weeks and a day til the
wedding. will I have free time after that?!?
Responses are coming already. Even though I am... ummm... still addressing envelopes! Can I just say that I love organized people?
orangey orange!
I've been getting ready for April's Project Spectrum... love orange!! I haven't had much time for knitting, but I've been spinning some. No photos though...
Here are some new sock yarns for the shop:

Is there a reason I shouldn't register for
this and
these things?

Hmmmmm.. maybe I can sneak these in without the boy noticing?!

This morning I woke up at 6 am for no apparent reason. I didn't even go running- my group is up to 8 miles, and I am just not there! I am going tomorrow though, with a (slower!) friend, so all is not lost.
I spent a chunk of the morning
updating the site. And photographing. My apartment makes it near impossible to get great light, but i managed to find a not-too-bright-or-too-dark spot for a bit. Updates galore!
I also decided to leave
some of the mega-skeins as is for now. I don't have the energy or time to deal with counting and extra labeling right now! If anyone wants less yardage, I can certainly break them down!

all these girlies

photos?
So my photos are no longer showing up! ???? I have Corel Photopaint, and Ulead PHotoimpact. WTF?
With MS Paint, it also gives errors. Is my computer just broken?!
Anyone else ever have photos not showing up??!
ETA: this might have something to do with ftp-ing in binary and not ascii... odd, since I didn't change anything. hmph.
wash. rinse. repeat.
I am starting to feel like a broken record. Like my week is stuck in Groundhog Day or something! Saturday we get up early for a long run, come home exhausted, shower, eat, head to my dad's to paint and clean his house in prep for the wedding (guests staying there and a big party), come home even more exhausted, lame out of going out (again), go to bed obscenely early... wake up sunday, do wedding stuff, shopping, cooking, etc. then the work week with some runs and yoga thrown in. and making dinner when possible. Little time for knitting, and then when I do have time, I don't have the mental capacity to figure out the guage changes (daisy) or the pattern repeat (clapotis) or can't find the new sock needles (jaywalker part 2). Never mind spinning... I don't have the energy to pre-draft even!
Every. Week.
Good/bad news: less than 3 months til the big day. In fact, we'll be sitting on the beach in Barbados drinking fruity drinks 90 days from now. This keeps me going.
No- really... I think this will be the last of the invite photos. There is nothing interesting left with them. No more goccoing. Just cutting strips of paper to wrap them in, and we ran out, so not even that for a bit. Here are envelopes goccoed with our address. (we are so not into the whole calligraphy etiquette thing! ;)

I am onto sleeve one of daisy. I got baffled at the thought of having to figure out the sleeve cap. also, I didn't have a pencil to mark down what I did. Best not to recreate the pattern for each sleeve!

And the flowers.. after the initial die off, there are two happy daisies left.
It would be a feat to get daisy done before the daisies are done. hmmmm.
lazy daisy
someone must have some sort of photography primer out there, right? On how to take pictures of pink in a darkish room? Because I need help!

I decided to go with
daisy, since I wasn't sure how variegated this yarn would be. I'll try haiku another time!
haha- daisy and daisy!

I am finally just now recovering from going to a
show on sunday.. Note to self: don't run six miles before going somewhere you'll have to stand for 5 hours! Also, don't spend hours painting a ceiling, stuck in an odd position on a rickety wooden ladder! my hip's been wonky since then, and I don't think it's from running!
Anyhow, show rocked. We had prime balcony spots, so less drunken people spilling beer on us! There was some crazy chick all trying to cut up in front of us some how.. drove all the way from FL... Um? our friend got to his spot at SEVEN pm! she was all "so what do you do?" Um?? not gonna get you a spot! Oooh- I also saw Leigh outside the club, who is all about yarning over at
Future Green! They have
peace fleece there! I want some! After I finish my orange peace fleece sweater...
pink and red! and orange!
awwww... somebody loves me! :)

Here is some handspun I did last week. It's either BFL or corriedale. I don't remember! (A clear sign I have TOO MUCH WOOL!) It's nice and fluffy and soft, though. Yum.

Guess what we did this weekend? Part two of the invitation adventure! I am proud to say that these are (so far) costing me less than a hundred bucks. not including postage, yet. But still! I know there are tons out there for more than $500, you know? Craziness.
That is 100 invitations. We're only sending out like 80 or so... maybe we got carried away?
This is what it looks like, mostly. Less blurry. yay orange!

I'm currently trying to find a way to have bright orange in our cake somehow... any ideas?

It's March! That means it is TIME FOR COLORS! Okay, just two colors, really- pink and red. Since this needs to be done by the end of March, I decided that kidswear is in order.. good since a friend is expecting a girl!
here's the yarn..

what should I knit? the top candidates are these:
haiku and
daisy. There's also that sweater from last minute knitted gifts, but I think these are slightly cuter!
Anyone knit these before?
sockety socks! and food, good and bad.
new sock yarns are up! I so wish I wasn't in the middle of three pairs of socks so I could try it out! I am in love.

hey you DC-ers! Want a free zagat guide? You can be a part of the
survey and they'll send you a book! Not that I need any more restaurants to add to the list... :)
