Woolarina
have I written this before?
I feel like I have. Or maybe it's just been barreling around my head for a while, so I think it is real? I am having trouble keeping track of three blogs these days! Or, just keeping track of me! Where I am, what I am doing, where I probably should be. Who knows.
Anyhow, I am a new member of the
DC Craft Mafia!! I met some of these supercrafty ladies Saturday! I am a bit overwhelmed right now at all the crafty possibilities, but I think it will help me branch out, make contacts, make newer, funner stuff. And meet new people! YAY!

Thanks for all the great garter recipes! I tested out one of them, spinning a nice thin cormo/silk blend- still not thin enough for my liking (though it might work), so I wanna hit up a yarn shop for laceweight. 18 days to go!
I just ordered these lovely pieces!

Custom made for me by
Rohmcustom on etsy.com. I can't wait to try them on!!
*now* I decide to get crafty?
so I'm coming round to this girly wedding thing... wondering what I can manage to do (beyond flowers and programs and name tags) in the next few weeks.
your task: finding a knit garter pattern.
something new! :)
yarny yarn. yarn.
I finally got around to starting my woolarina sock! Man I love it! fotos soon! Also, many more colors coming, once I have time.
recap!
haha. thought you'd get the scoop, eh? Well, I didn't have my camera, and still haven't taken
pictures of my bounteous loot, so none for you!
But- I had an awesome weekend. Thanks so much, ladies!! This is *SO* what I needed - a break from the wedding and constant work work working! YAY for sheeps and yarns and fluff and toys and martinis!
go read the people here.... they might not be drowning (again!) in work! The homewood suites ladies:

going to sheep and wool! going to sheep and wool!
Did you know that the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival is the largest of it's kind? I had no idea, but good old public radio tells all. There's a bit on it on Metro Connection Friday.. so the people DC can see how crazy we are. "...more yarn than you can shake a stick at!" HAHA!!
the slumber party fun begins Friday night. I'm bringing my blender!
I'll only be at the festival Saturday, as there are still a lot of wedding preparations and house fixing to do. The thing is? I have nothing on my list! Well, maybe a bigger niddy noddy, but- I have yarn, I have fiber. more than I can shake a stick at, that is for sure! I also have to hide my stash before the wedding, lest our guests think I am odd! ;)
On the perhaps list: a skein or two of sock yarn, some superwash fiber. something for k8?
