  Fixed!!!
So while other things in my life have been difficult and unfixable (ha- anyone have a house or new car to sell me cheap!?) the website? She is FIXED!

Still needs some colors, but Woo hoo! Check it out!

We're having a small sale to celebrate. 10% off your order with the coupon code WOOLARINA. I'm hoping that this clears up all the problems there have been with orders lately!

  thanks, knit mitt pal!!
I got my package!! YAY!! Such fun stuff! The last swap I did (not knitting, of course - knitters are definitely better at swappage!) let me down a little in terms of effort given vs. received. This one was awesome though! Thanks Stephania! YOU ROCK!!

I got a pattern I've actually been ogline for a while, some Gems Merino (yum!!), a suuuuuper soffffft drawstring bag, a fun soap, and a handmade journal to take some notes.

I am totally itching to start knitting these fun mittens (and the blustery COLD that's finally arrived outside is helping!

  shop!
This actually happened last month, but I've been so slow and distracted!

Check out the urban knit for some awesome yarns. Camille is selling a whole bunch of fun indie yarns, and even donates part of each sale to St. Judes!

------------------------------

Also, I've been having issues with my site... it was hacked! I don't have any critical info on it or anything, and I think it was just stupid kids hacking it, but still- it's annoying and I'm going to be getting rid of the affected stuff! This means that a loooottttt of stuff hasn't been coming through I think. Have you had trouble with anything?

I plan to take the catalog down this weekend and get another one up.. I'll still have a few odds and ends available, but if it's gone for a little while, don't fret!

so our seller guy is just. not. responding. to anything. ??? I know it was a long weekend and all, but really? wth?

I am torn between offering closer to what they want and just leaving it all.. how does one choose? It's a fun place, good location. It's not perfect, but is anything?

In knitty news, I finally sent my knit mitt knit swap pal their package! It was a nice break putting together some fun things! I also dug though some of my crafty stash to come up with some neat items..

Like these buttons I have.. I was gifted a large bag of buttons from someone at a nonprofit- they are made out of some nut or something, and have numbers on them. 1 through 9 in several different colors. I'm not sure who needs all those numbers on an item, but they are neat nonetheless! Maybe someday I can make a sevens cardigan or something?

  drats!
we didn't get it... in fact, two others got to it before us. crazy real estate. We still have an offer in on #1, so we will see. UGH!

I've been dyeing a bit, using up odds and ends of dye. Pretty colors! Unfortunately, the camera really just does not like orange or pink. WTF? I really really want a new one! Anyhow, green will have to suffice for today!

I made this for a charity drive... went pretty fast! I am liking the lengthwise scarves. I can even dig the (endless) casting on/off!

I used a few of the handspuns and some scrappy lamb's pride odds and ends for this. yay for using shit up! That's my mantra of the month. USU! yarn, food, fabric, etc.

  scratch that.
We're now looking at another condo. Argh. We lost interest in the first one. This one seems more suited for a doggie though, so it's not all bad! We'll put in an offer soonish...

Still not liking this game!

I have been knitting scarves lately! I HATE SCARVES! One's an old acrylic one I started years ago and found recently. Another is for charity- it's drying then I'll cut the fringe and be done. The last was sort of the rabbit-proof-fence scarf from this book, but I couldn't be bothered with pattern following. I sat on the needles for that, so it's progress stopped last weekend! oops.

Anyhow, I can't sit down to do anything these days... too anxious! I've been doing random things but nothing interesting. Haha, aside from installing the SIMs game on the computer and playing for long stetches... fake worlds are less anxious than the real world!

  huh. still waiting.
We're at a standstill as far as what to do about this condo. Hoping to make a counter to their counter this afternoon, so we will see.

We go between hope hope hoping we'll get it because we love it and wondering what we were thinking as there are so many (admittedly small and easily fixable) things wrong with it.

I don't like this game!!

  cross your fingers for us!
We just made an offer on a condo! I doubt we'll get it for that price, but if it's between that and the list price I'll be happy.

How on earth will I sleep tonight?!

who says the government doesn't rock?!
Also, who knew they were PSYCHIC?!

Friday (1/5/07) I (finally) went to the MVA to change my last name. Saturday, I got this in the mail... proclaiming a notification date of 12/28/06. That is super fast, eh? I wonder if there are crazy democratic party elves sitting behind the counter at the MVA waiting for changes to come in so that everyone will be allowed to vote in the next (what, next FALLL?!) election. Hm.

but yeah. Um... how long does it take to start thinking of yourself as MRS. notmyname! We had to sign some papers today and it was hard. It takes time to develop a scribbly signature properly!

  crafty holidays
My parents and friends went all out this year with the crafty books! So much to read, so much to try! Especially now that I have (a little) time to breathe. Thanks!

I spent last weekend dyeing up a storm... finally! I'd been itching to for a while but life and the holidays got in the way. Here's one of my favorites from last week. Click on the photo. More soon!

  happy new year!
We ended last year looking for our dream home. Our dream home that cost WAYYY less than $400K and was a mile or less to the Silver Spring metro. HA. Fat chance!! We did find a couple of suitable condos, though, to tide us over until we're millionaires. We'll see if any new places come onto the market in the next couple weeks then maybe make an offer.

So very exciting! I've been walking around our apartment enjoying all the things I will not miss when we move!

Last year was the best ever probably, due to the wedding. Can we top that this year with home buying?! And possibly getting a dog?! Or at least a new couch? Hm.

We spent New Year's Eve at the Black Cat with a ton of friends, and it was pretty darn fun. I love the Black Cat because you ALWAYS see other people you know there. Lately I've seen knitty folks, so that's a pretty fun crossing of worlds. This year I found Pink Monkey Jenna up front being blasted out by Peaches O'dell. Or, she found me! Yay for small town DC, at least when all the govies leave town for the holidays! :)

Today I am "working" from home while the rest of the DC world has off for Gerald Ford's funeral. And doing loads of errands. So I will have to take some leave as well. Boo.

playing around with fiber- knitting and spinning and dyeing. with a bit of running thrown in. and now home hunting.
