Airports: 1. Washington, D.C. - National Airport, domestic flights only (subway/metro available to Silver Spring, MD)

2. Dulles International Airport, Virginia (south of D.C.) - can take a bus to the West Falls Church Metro ($8 one way or $14 round trip), and can then take the Metro to Silver Spring.

3. Baltimore/Washington International Airport, Maryland (north of D.C.) can take a bus  for $3 each way to the Greenbelt Metro Station, and can then take the Metro to Silver Spring.

Trains: Amtrak has trains that run to Union Station (main train station in D.C., also has lots of shopping); from there, take metro to Silver Spring, Maryland

Subway: You mean the metro?  The Silver Spring, MD stop is called Silver Spring; it's on the red line

Automobiles: Available at all three airports (car rental listings: National, Dulles and Baltimore/Washington). But - if you don't want to rent a car, there are ways to get to DC (and thus, Silver Spring) via bus and subway. Just ask, and we'll tell you! If you are staying in downtown Silver Spring, a hotel shuttle can probably drive and pick you up from the wedding and reception if you don't want to walk. Parking at hotels is about $10 a night (though you can park on the street or in a county garage for free evenings and  weekends!
